The German town of Merzig - north west of Saarbrücken - has taken delivery of a 29 metre Ruthmann TB290 telescopic truck mounted platform.
Mounted on a 3.5 tonne chassis, the TB290 provides a maximum outreach of 16.2 metres with an unrestricted platform capacity of 100kg. Maximum capacity is 230kg at an outreach of up to 9.8 metres. Maximum working height is 28.8 metres.
The platform will be used for a a variety of tasks such as tree pruning and lighting and building maintenance. One of the factors which swung the deal was the three month delivery time.
