New appointments at Genie

Genie has appointed Will Westley as sales director for the UK and Republic of Ireland, while Arjen Snijder moves to a new role, which includes responsibility for the Benelux region.

Based in the UK, Westley will report to Jacco de Kluijver, vice president of sales & marketing for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India. The UK/Ireland regional sales managers, Keith John, Adam Mitchell and Craig Duffy, will report to Westley in his new role. In September he will also add responsibility for the Nordic regions of the Baltic states.

He joins the company after more than 19 years with Caterpillar UK, for the past five and a half years as international industry manager, with responsibility for sales and product support across more than 90 countries. His first job at Cat was as a product marketing specialist looking after telehandlers and skid steer loaders. In 2005 he was transferred to Dubai as industry manager, he returned in 2012 to manage sales support for Alliance products (machines such as telehandlers that are manufactured by others). The move follows the departure of John Chandler to JCB earlier this year.
