Senior sales recruits for Genie

Genie Europe has appointed Thomas Meheust and Arjen Snijder as regional sales directors.

Based in the UK, Meheust joined the company last month and reports to sales and marketing vice president for Europe, Africa and the Middle East, Jacco de Kluijver.

Meheust moved to the UK in 2004 - following a career in the French building industry - to join Youngman, the scaffold tower and ladder manufacturer now owned by Werner. He was originally employed as export development manager, later becoming international division manager. He joined French aerial lift manufacturer in ATN in 2015, and was recruited by UK based GGR Unic as European sales manager earlier this year.

Thomas Mehuest

Genie has also appointed Dutch access industry veteran Arjen Snijder as sales director for Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as strategic accounts.
He joins the company from Riwal where he was group manager for equipment sales, having joined the company as international sales manager in 2012, following more than five years with German spider lift manufacturer Teupen where he was responsible for export sales.

He began his access career in 1999 with Dutch rental company Gunco, transferring to sister company HDW - the Genie and Teupen dealer for the Netherlands – in 2003, leaving to join Teupen in 2006.

He also reports to Jacco de Kluijver and takes over in Germany from Lars Raagaard, who is now sales director for the Nordic region.
