Attempt to Scam Loxam Customers by Fraudulently Editing Google Business Listing
A number of malicious individuals exploited Google Business's automated 'suggest an edit' system to make fraudulent changes to Loxam's Google listing, replacing the official phone number for the Loxam office in Grassobbio (BG) with a mobile number. Callers were asked to make instant transfers for equipment rentals, impersonating Loxam.

Loxam has restored the correct number, filed a complaint with the authorities, and frequently monitors Google Business profile pages. However, Google's automated system does not allow the company to completely prevent unwanted changes. No Loxam customer data was compromised.
