Mammoet collects the set

International heavy lift and specialist transport company Mammoet has purchased the new 1,000 tonne Liebherr LR 11000 crawler crane that was on display at Bauma. The purchase means that its fleet now includes examples of every Liebherr crawler crane over 300 tonnes.

The company said: “The new LR 11000 crawler crane supplements our range between the LR 1750 and LR 11350. After the prototype was unveiled, discussions were held about the concept of the crane, which was quickly followed by the decision to buy one. The new crane fits perfectly into our fleet for global hoisting work and projects.”

Mammoet also ordered the PowerBoom option which significantly boosts certain capacities to compete with those of a 1,300 tonne crane.
