Customised Versalift for Citelum

International street lighting and traffic management company Citelum Groupe EDF has taken delivery of a 25 metre hybrid Versalift VT-66-LFE truck mounted lift fitted with an elevating turret, from local distributor Time Danmark.

Mounted on a 15.5 tonne MAN chassis, the VT-66-LFE has been fitted with a three metre elevator, which increases its work height from 22 to 25 metres and provides an up and over height of six metres. Developed by Time in 2008, Citelum is the first company in Europe to take delivery of a truck mounted Versalift platform fitted what it calls and Elevator.

Offering a maximum outreach of 17 metres, the VT-66-LFE runs on a super quiet electric motor, powered by a battery pack. Features include electro-hydraulic controls and the company’s Smartbox toolboxes. The lift will be used on an €80 million contract the company has won to renovate the existing street lighting in Copenhagen, including converting over 20,000 lights to high efficiency alternatives such as LEDs.

Hi John
This is an outstanding working platform.
1st. The unit does not need extended outriggers, it is fully tested, even on 5 degrees slope on the side, and with 1,5 times Cage capacity.
2nd. There is traffic cones behind the vehicle, and of course an person on ground in neon colored clothes to handle the traffic if needed. This is the law in Denmark, so of course not a Death wish, but a new trend for effective streetlight maintenance. !!

Incredible that a company would wish to use the lower image as a testimonial shot. Stabilisers not extended , boom extended over open traffic lanes. No attempt at traffic management. Death Wish!
