Ainscough Training, 10,000 in five years

Ainscough Training Services Ltd is five years old today and has just notched up training for its 10,000th candidate. In the 5 years since the business was demerged from Ainscough Crane Hire, as part of a strategic review, Ainscough Training has provided over 12,500 course places to 10,000 candidates from more than 1,400 employers.

Ainscough Training has continued to supply the crane hire business with trained operatives for the UK, but also now provides training overseas with recent projects completed in Dubai and Sierra Leone.

Ian Fisher, managing director said that the business had doubled in size in the first 5 years and that it is looking to continue its expansion with a new training centre planned for Rotherham later this year.

The 10,000th person trained was corporal Kieran Taylor, who is currently a plant fitter with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, He chose Ainscough to undertake his resettlement training as he prepares to re-enter civilian life later this year. The resettlement programme consisted of a CPCS mobile crane and slinger/signaller course which covered 2 weeks with a further two week work placement at the Ainscough Crane Hire depot in Standish.
