An aerial lift workshop/service company in Italy received a 20 metre truck mounted lift for servicing this week and was surprised to see a novel modification for basket entry.

The lift with the unusual entry step

An extra step is attached to the extended rear bumper platform and then as there is a significant step up to the basket what looks like a section of tree trunk has been used as a make-shift step.

Given that the truck does not appear to be secured one assumes that friction and gravity are sufficient to keep it in place?
