Long weekend ahead!
This weekend is a public holiday in the UK, where most of our English language editors and staff are based.
Dubbed the August Bank Holiday it was created in 1871, and moved from the first Monday of the month to the last Monday in the late 1960s. It is widely observed across Britain, especially if the weather is good.
But the main point of this item is to say, that due to this event, Monday and possibly Tuesday morning's English language news coverage may be affected. Our teams in the UK and Freiburg, Germany - which is, of course unaffected - will continue monitoring the market for any critical or time sensitive stories, but response times may be a little slower.
