GGR will be launching a new 2.9 tonnes capacity battery electric Unic URW-295 spider crane at an open day at its southern UK facility in Long Crendon this Friday, September 10th .
The new model is based on the standard Unic URW-295 which is available with diesel, petrol, LPG or dual power with AC electric drive and maintains the same performance characteristics, but as a battery machine is ideal for indoor applications where noise and fumes are an issue.
The company will also have its full product range on display, including the latest Unic spider cranes sch as the new 2.4 tonne URW245, Galizia pick & carry cranes and a wide array of vacuum lifting solutions for glass and cladding panels.
The company is expecting over 100 visitors to attend, following the success of previous events in both Long Crendon and its northern location in Oldham.
Gill Riley, managing director said: “We’ve always enjoyed great success with our open days, with customers and prospects extremely keen to take a look at all our innovative equipment."
"The GGR-developed battery crane should attract a fair few visitors this year. In fact, in the past we’ve had quite a few competitors eager to see our latest developments, but as nice as it is to catch up with a competitor, this year we’re strictly customers and prospects only!”
The aim of the day is to demonstrate the latest lifting equipment and provide expert technical advice. Refreshments will be provided all day starting with bacon sandwiches at 9.30am followed by a lunch time barbeque.
