Sunbelt moves into Oklahoma
Ashtead’s US rental operation Sunbelt Rentals, has opened a new branch in Yukon, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, its first location in the state.
The 500 square metre (5,300sqft) building sits on a five acre plot, the branch will have an initial equipment inventory of around $3 million. The fleet will comprise a full range of general rental equipment as well as tools.
Sunbelt now has locations in 35 of the country’s 50 states plus Washington DC.
Sunbelt’s chief executive Joe Phelan, said: “This is an exciting time for Sunbelt Rentals. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to open a new location and grow into this vibrant, thriving city. Operating from the state’s largest city and having convenient access to several major highways positions us well to service contractors and homeowners throughout the greater area.”
Mike Goday, Sunbelt’s district manager for the area added: “The response we’ve received from those who live and work in the area has been warm and inviting. We’re thankful for the opportunity to serve this community”.
