Transport acquisition for Havator
Finnish based crane and heavy transport group Havator, has acquired Trailer Consult i Östergötland AB in Sweden.
Trailer Consult specialises in heavy and special transport and has revenues of around SK19 million and employs 11 the company will become part of Havator Transport AB, which has purchased all of the outstanding shares.
The assets owned by Trailer Consult include 11 towing vehicles, four of which are equipped with loader cranes and 14 trailers, along with some lighter equipment.
Trailer Consult has worked closely with Havator for some time and has acted as a subcontractor for large crane movements. Havator Transport says the transaction will strengthen the company’s position in Sweden, especially in the East coast/ Norrköping region.
Kenneth Wall, managing director of Trailer Consult said: "We have long experience of co-operation with Havator. I see excellent possibilities to further develop our operation as part of a large group".
Timo Riiho, managing director of Havator Transport added: "The acquisition is a significant step in developing special transport business in Sweden and Havator Transport’s growth strategy".
"The acquisition complements the fleet of Havator Transport in many ways, and we are able to meet better than earlier customer requirements and bigger challenging jobs. Our strength will be the local expertise combined with the extensive depot network of Havator Transport", said Roy Högberg, Business Manager of Havator Transport.
This is the second acquisition in Sweden by Havator in less than three weeks, the group acquired Swedish crane rental company BinSell i Uppsala in mid November
