Step ladder arborist

A regular reader from the UK, spotted the two men in the photographs below working outside Warrington hospital near Manchester, England.

It has been some time since we have seen step ladders used like this for 'proffessional' tree pruning, hardly the most efficient way to trim an avenue of trees, not to mention the safest.

Two men and a step ladder to trim the trees


In this case the man up the tree had climbed to the top of the 2.5 metre high steps and then transferred over to the tree itself usually a techinque reserved for home work in the privacy of your own garden. But at least he had his hi viz coat on and a colleague below to catch him if he fell.
