Putting the lights on a 35m Christmas tree

The Christmas tree at Wakehurst Place, in Southern England is the tallest in the UK at 35 metres. So decorating it can be a real issue.

This year rental company Facelift, supplied a 46 and a 61 metre Bronto truck mounted lifts, to carry out the work, which included installing the lights with over 1,800 bulbs.

To complete the job in a day required an early start

The two Brontos, a 46XDT and a 61XDT arrived early one morning at the end of November. The truck mounted platforms were supplied with experienced operators who have carried out the work in previous years. They worked with the staff of Wakehurst Place, a National Trust Property, to install the lights in a single day.
