Hertz acquires 24/7

Hertz Equipment Rental has acquired Burbank, California based 24/7 Studio Equipment.

The company rents a wide variety of equipment for film and TV work as well as more general applications, aerial lifts make up a significant proportion of the company’s fleet and are mostly JLG booms and scissors. The fleet also includes telehandlers and industrial forklifts along with items such as lighting towers etc…

Much of the access equipment, especially the boom lifts, features matt black booms, while some models are painted completely in matt black – for on camera filming purposes.

Part of the 24/7 Studio Equipment product range


The management and employees of 24/7, including founder and president Lance Sorenson, will remain with the company under the new ownership. No official statement has yet been released by Hertz but we understand that the tdeal was concluded on Friday.

Hertz acquired 1st Call Studio Equipment of Sylmar, California from RoadSafe Holdings in August of this year.
At that time Hertz chief executive Mark P. Frissora said: "Hertz is actively seeking growth opportunities for our Entertainment Services business which provides one-stop equipment and car rental solutions for media production companies,"
