Loxam moves into Morocco

French based international rental company Loxam has opened its first location in Morocco in partnership with Stokvis a publicly quoted equipment distributor. The two companies are forming a joint venture called Atlas Rental to operate the Loxam franchise in Morocco.

The first Loxam rental branch will be located at the Stokvis headquarters in Bouskoura, around 20 kilometres south of Cassablanca. Stockvis was established in 1950 and is the local distributor for Locatelli cranes, Merlo telehandlers and a range of agricultural brands including Claas and Same Deutz Fahr.

The new Loxam rental branch which will initially offer a limited selection from Loxam rental equipment range, is the first location for the French company in Africa. It already operates in 10 countries with 529 locations. Revenues in 2010 were €705 million.
