Moba buys into Novatron

Moba Mobile Automation, the German- producers of overload systems, has acquired a 25 percent stake in Novatron Oy of Tampere, Finland.

Novatron is a leading European producer of measuring systems for construction machines, and the market leader in excavator systems in Finland.
The buy-in includes a partnership agreement that will expand Moba’s product and technology portfolio, enabling it to market excavator control systems worldwide. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Novatron Oy will continue to offer excavator systems in Finland,
Norway, and Sweden, while Moba will handle them internationally. While Novatron will market Moba levelling systems for graders, dozers, milling machines, pavers, and rollers in these three countries, alongside Moba’s existing dealers.

David Shelstad, vice president for sales & marketing at Moba said: “We see great synergy with Novatron. With the premier excavator control systems from Novatron we add a key application to our product offering which complements our current applications and enables us to offer a more complete spectrum of control systems for earthmoving machines."
