Power line contact injury

A man using an aerial lift to trim trees in Salt Lake City, Utah, is still in critical condition today after he came in contact with an overhead power line on Monday.

The man was one of two workers in the platform trimming trees alongside the road when he touched the power lines. His colleague was unharmed and managed to lower the unit to the ground.

The emergency services say that he was conscious and talking, but they did not know the extent of his internal injuries. On was quoted as saying "He’s got an entrance wound and an exit wound, but we’re not sure what’s between those."

The man was airlifted University Hospital’s burn unit.
