A new truck mounted manufacturer
A new Italian based truck mounted lift manufacturer Sky Aces will launch its first products at Apex in September.
Based in Mirandola (Modena) the company will be managed by chief executive Paolo Balugani who also holds a majority stake in the new company. He said: "Though we do know that there are several Italian manufacturers of aerial work platforms. Sky Aces will design and build lifts for special applications.

The company’s first product, to be unveiled in Maastricht this September will be the Tun Lift 737-500 designed specifically for the needs of tunnel maintenance contractors.
"This model, commissioned by an overseas company, will be the first of a series, we are sure that the tendency to build underground roads and railways will boost the demand for equipment dedicated to the tunnel maintenance,” said Balugani. “Italy among is one of the European countries with the highest number of tunnels. We are already working on a tracked version of the platform along with a combined rail/road version for working in rail tunnels.”
Other shareholders in the new business are Adelchi Ascari, who has many years’ experience in cranes and aerial work platform design, Marco Sabattini whose expertise lies in prototyping and industrial activities and Giuseppe
Manenti, the chief executive of CMF steel fabricators, whose production facility will be partially used for the production of Sky Aces machines.

The plant is located in Cigole (Brescia) and has two buildings, each of of 5,000 square metres, equipped with laser and plasma cutting machines, bending machines, a sandblasting system and two paint ovens.
