New finance director for Speedy

UK based Speedy Hire has appointed Lynn Krige as group finance director, she takes up her role in October.

Krige joins Speedy from John Laing where until recently she was group finance director. She joined Laing in 1999 after moving from her native South Africa where she had worked for construction company Shire and before that Nissan. She started her career at Deloitte in South Africa after qualifying as a chartered accountant.

She replaces Justin Read, who has resigned from the company and plans to depart on 26th August. Speedy's financial controller Ian Scapens will assume responsibility for all finance functions in the interim period.

Steve Corcoran, chief executive, said: "On behalf of the Company, I am delighted to welcome Lynn to the board. Her experience will be most valuable and we look forward to her input as the company continues its growth. I would like to thank Justin for all of his hard work and the contribution that he has made to Speedy. I wish him success in his new role."
