Another LTM1500 for Neeb/Schuch

German based joint venture crane rental company Neeb-Schuch has taken delivery of a new 500 tonne Liebherr LTM1500-8.1

Neeb is based in Wuppertal while Schuch is located in Speyer, both companies, offer crane rental and heavy transport on an international basis, are over 50 years old and are managed by second generations of the founding families.

The two families have co-operated for some time and established a joint branch in Qatar over a year ago. Earlier this year it was decided to formalise this with the foundation of a jointly held business – Neeb-Schuch GmbH, which focuses on special and larger equipment for international operations.

The two companies continue to operate as independent concerns, and still run their individual branches in Germany, Spain, France, Luxemburg, Romania, Tunisia, Congo, Algeria, Serbia, and Abu-Dhabi.

Neeb already has at least one LTM1500-8.1 as does Schuch which also operates a 500 tonne Terex. The new LTM 1500-8.1 is intended for operations in Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary and Serbia.

Armin Neeb, managing director of Neeb-Schuch said: “The LTM 1500-8.1 is a top performer and has really proved its worth over and over again. The 500-tonner from Liebherr can be put to work in a vast range of situations, and that means it fits in precisely with the orientation of our new company“.

“With our international orientation, it is important that our suppliers can provide a worldwide service network. Liebherr are absolute leaders in that respect. And as well as that, Liebherr cranes are really impressive in performance and quality.”

When he came to collect the LTM 1500-8.1 from the Liebherr plant in Ehingen, Neeb brought his children Adrian and Sandra with him, and made the point that: The third generation of the family is getting ready to take over- not for a while though.
