Another new lift from Elliot

US based boom truck and lift manufacturer Elliot has launched a new 42 metre/140ft platform/6.3 tonne crane.

The company says that the new L140 HiReach has been designed for applications that require both a very stable platform and/or a high capacity boom truck.

The platform is fully integrated with hydraulic self-levelling 1.4 metre by 760mm basket, platform rotation and 272kg platform capacity. The levelling and rotation systems are self-contained and housed in the boom nose in order to avoid hydraulic lines and cables running up the boom.

The company has also managed to reduce the weight on the L140 to less than some of its smaller models, allowing it to be mounted on a smaller chassis.

The crane includes a new Hirschmann iVisor Mentor load moment indicator, a boom-mounted winch with 3,200kg line pull, allowing it to lift its maximum capacity on two parts of line. The crane is rated at 1.8 metres/6ft radius.
