JLG-Liftlux Conexpo launch

JLG has chosen this years big International show, Conexpo for the launch of the first JLG-Liftlux model, said to be a 24 metre/80ft model. JLG senior executives told Vertikal.Net in October that only Liftlux models in heights not already produced by JLG would be reintroduced (in other words models over 17metres/50ft). They also said that the first production units would be built at its Belgian plant in April; the company has confirmed that it is on schedule to meet this date.

At this point we have only been told that the first unit will be an “80ft model” looking back at the Liftlux range, this is most likely to be the most recently designed model, the SL245/35 which offered a 24.5 metre platform height. This model was also designed on a family basis allowing for a smaller version with one less set of scissor arms, the 210, with a 21metre (69ft) platform height. Thus it is most likely that this will be the second unit out of the JLG-Liftlux stable will be although no one at JLG would comment on this

The Liftlux name has been seen in the USA before, at the 2002 ARA Manlift showed the 26 metre SL260 badged as the 8599. So ome visitors to Conexpo will experience a sense of Deja-vu.
