Boom truck tips in Montreal
A large boom truck tipped over in Montreal yesterday causing traffic problems, thankfully no one was injured. The incident occurred on a site near the Complexe Desjardins in wet and windy conditions.

The crane was lifting at too long a radius for its outrigger base
The crane was set up with outriggers retracted which might have contributed to the overturning. Some oil was spilt on the street. The boom truck is owned and operated by roofing and cladding specialist Clermont Ltée of Chateaugay.

No one was hurt in the incident and the truck was later recovered
