Pop Up to distribute Altrex
Pop-Up Products has agreed a sales and distribution partnership with Dutch scaffold, ladder and suspended platform manufacturer Altrex.
The agreement will see Pop-Up Products become the exclusive UK distributor for Altrex products. Looking forward the two companies are working together to introduce and develop new products for the UK market.
Altrex produces a wide range of ladders, steps, Alloy towers and suspended platforms and recently introduced ‘Altrex Mobile Safety’, adding QR codes to its rolling and folding towers. Read by a smart phone, the QR code provides end users with direct digital access to the tower’s instruction manual, helping to improve job site safety.

Pop-Up Products already markets its own range of low-level access, including its highly successful push around scissor lifts, podiums, folding work platforms and towers.
Nigel Woodger, managing director of Pop-Up Products said: “Pop-Up has always been about using the most appropriate equipment for safe and productive working at height. By working with Altrex, we can instantly offer our customers a wider product range and develop future high quality products with a safety-conscious partner.”
Pop-Up is turning over its entire stand at the upcoming Executive Hire Show to Altrex products.

Vertikal Comment
This looks like a good move for both parties, Altrex, as with many tower manufacturers, has struggled to find a national distributor in the UK, or to gain a decent foothold in the market. Pop-Up, once part of the NSG Group has sold the Eiger Towers, more recently under the Pop-Up branding.
Altrex has a much wider range, with its ladders and steps and with the falling Euro could prove to be a strong alternative supplier for Pop-Up. The partnership also has potential to blossom in other areas and markets if the two parties work well together, as well os possibly providing a first class exit strategy for Pop-Ups owners.
