Platform Company buy Manitou

The Platform Company has ordered over 60 new Manitou booms from Russon Access, the first significant order under the new distribution agreement announced on February 8th.{see Vertikal .Net Feb 8th 2005} Russon and Manitou team up

The order is largely for 160ATJ 16 metre rough terrain articulated booms, plus a number of the 12 metre 120AETJ, narrow aisle, zero tailswing electric articulating booms.

The first units will be delivered in the coming weeks, with the full order to completed by the end of June.

Vertikal Comment

We predicted that the distribution arrangement with Russon Access would pay off for Manitou and help boost its penetration of the UK rental market. We did not expect, however, such a rapid and significant payoff as this. The latest Manitou boom products are widely respected as excellent machines but until now they simply have not had the exposure. An order such as this from a well respected rental company like the Platform Company will give Russon and Manitou a strong kick start;
