Slightly over height

We have often reported on cases where crane or platform operators have forgotten to stow their booms correctly, resulting in bridge bashing or ripping overhead lines out, but we have been sent an example from Norway that might establish a new record.

The operator of a concrete pump appears to have set off along highway 15 between Tennebø and Måløy to the north of Bergen, without making any attempt to stow the boom.

This operator clearly did not have his mind on the job when he set off

How the vehicle remained stable is a mystery, but it did and it took out some overhead power lines on the way before police managed to stop the vehicle. We understand that the incident occurred early last week. Definite Death Wish
