Sennebogen telescopic for Mammoet

International heavy lift specialist Mammoet has taken delivery of a 40 tonne Sennebogen 643R telescopic crawler crane.

The 643R has a 30 metre four section boom and a 13 metre bi-fold swing-away extension, it is also equipped with an elevating cab for improved visibility while loading into or out of high sided vessels.

The new crane went straight to work unloading pulp bales for a large paper mill on the Sappi Nijmegen docks in the Netherlands.

Mammoet’s regional manager Cees de Bont said: “We have chosen this unit, rather than a lattice boom model, because the movements are smoother and more versatile for the work we have planned for it.”
