Speedy sign five year naval base deal

Speedy Power a division of Speedy Hire Plc is to manage and supply all plant and associated equipment, tools, power and lifting equipment to Fleet Support Ltd (FSL) at HM Naval Base in Portsmouth, in a unique five-year, multi-million pound contract.

Under the agreement Speedy is the single strategic management and equipment provider. Speedy will provide compressed air; welders; pumps; lifting equipment and small tools etc. Speedy will also manage on behalf of FSL activities such as cranes, powered access and specialist power generation equipment.

On site, a team of dedicated Speedy staff will be integrated within the FSL site support desk and work alongside FSL operations and project staff.

FSL is a naval support company operating within a partnering agreement with the Naval Base Command at Portsmouth. Activities include ship repair and engineering, logistics and estates management.
