Snorkel launches new RT scissor

Snorkel has unveiled the 43ft platform height S4390RT, the first in a new family of Rough Terrain scissor lifts.

The unit on the stand is a prototype aimed at gauging feedback from distributors and potential buyers.

The new Snorkel S4390RT at Bauma

Preliminary specifications include twin 1.3 metre deck extensions, which create a 6.6 metre long by 1.8 metre wide extended platform, with a maximum capacity of 680kg. It is driveable at heights of up to nine metres

Standard features include four wheel drive, oscillating axle, 380mm of ground clearance, 50 percent gradeability, automatic self-levelling hydraulic outriggers, power to platform and DC electric emergency operation.

Snorkel intends to expand the range with the 52ft version on the same chassis - the S5290RT, which will offer the same maximum platform capacity.
