AJ Access buy Lloyds Access fleet.

A.J.Access Platforms has purchased the 130 unit aerial Platform Hire Fleet of Lloyds British Testing plc.

The 130 machines that formed the Lloyds fleet include Genie, Up-Right and some JLG Platforms. They operate from two locations at Swansea and Newcastle.

AJ access says that any equipment on rental to Lloyd’s customers will be continued until the hires are terminated in order to minimize any inconvenience to Lloyd’s customers.

The Lloyds machines will be made available for sale through the used equipment division of A.J.Access based in Caldicot in South East Wales...

Managing Director Tony Mort says he is concerned that A.J.Access maintain off the shelf availability of a wide range of Access Platforms, particularly when new equipment is in such short supply with many manufacturers unable to deliver until well into 2006.

“We have established ourselves as one of Europe’s main Used Access Platform suppliers and we are looking to improve our services wherever we can” He said...

A.J. Access has also recently opened a new sales, rental, service and training outlet on the Swansea West Industrial estate.
