South Korean crane rental company Daehan Heavy Equipment added its first Grove crane – a GMK6300L - to its rental fleet.
“This job would have been done by a helicopter if not for the GMK6300L and its outstanding reach,” said president of Daehan Crane, Chun Yeon Jung. “The space at the job site was so narrow that only the GMK6300L could reach the desired location.”
During the two day job, the crane lifted a valve weighing 0.8 tonne from the bottom of a hill to the top utilising its 80 metre boom with a 37 metre fixed jib to lift the valve to 120 metres in height.
“It is jobs like this that demonstrate exactly why we chose the GMK6300L,” Jung said. “We needed a crane with a long boom to work in the petrochemical industry and this is the only crane with a 300 tonne capacity and an 80 metre boom that is compact enough to fit into tight spaces.”
