220 tonner for Völkl
German crane rental company Völkl has taken delivery of a 220 tonne Grove GMK5220 All Terrain crane.
The crane’s first job was at Bavaria’s Gäuboden Folk Festival, where it assembled and later dissembled two fairground rides. The five-axle crane, which has become the flagship of the company’s 12 unit fleet, has a 68 metre boom and can be extended to 105 metres with jib.
Owner Rudolf Völkl said: “We have always regarded Grove as a quality brand. We visited its plant in Wilhelmshaven and got to see up close its manufacturing process and wide range of cranes. Our visit also gave Grove a strong understanding of our needs so it could determine which product would be best suited to our work.”
