H&K adds JLG

JLG has appointed H&K Equipment of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as a distributor for its range of telescopic handlers and aerial lifts in the Pittsburgh and the tri-state area.

While H&K Equipment says that it will offer the full JLG access and telehandler line it will initially focus on the 12,000lbs/55ft G12-55A, making it available for both sale or rental.

The JLG G12-55A

H&K vice president Peter Cicero said: "JLG is a household name in lift equipment for a reason. The brand is known for being on the leading edge of technology and for setting the industry standard for reliability and value. The JLG G12-55A is the largest and most powerful telehandler in the JLG lineup. It can handle the bigger jobs that the compact machines just don't have the muscle for.”

H&K operations manager Patrick Koch added: "The telehandler market has seen a lot of growth in the oil and natural gas industry. Because Western Pennsylvania is a central hub in the Marcellus Shale region we felt it was important that we have a product like the G12-55A to serve the industry here.”

H&K Equipment offers a wide range of lift trucks, container handlers and industrial cleaning equipment and other product lines include Manitou and Pettibone. Founded in 1983 it employs over 200 in eight facilities across Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Maryland.
