Genie GS-4069 BE Hybrid

As with the three model 69 inch (1.75m) wide battery powered range launched two years ago, the bi-energy machines can all be driven at full height. A 1.5 metre slide-out deck extension be available on all three models and lift capacities range from 680kg for the GS-2669, 454kg for the GS-3369 and 363kg for the GS-4069.

The new scissors have two selectable operating modes. In 'hybrid mode' the system automatically regulates the charging function of the integrated generator to maintain the battery charge. All models are all equipped with an on-board charger for regular charging. A standard feature is the supply of 120 volt, 15 amp power from the generator to the platform and chassis for power tools etc...

The drive train is the same as the pure electric model with sealed AC electric drive motors and a front active oscillating axle.

The Genie GS-4069 BE Hybrid is the largest of a range of three new bi-energy RT scissors

Genie scissors product manager Mark Powell said: The new Genie hybrid scissor lift is a best in-class series that provides users with a true ‘start to finish’ machine. In the early stages of construction, the scissor keeps itself charged and can supply full AC power when onsite power is not available. As the site progresses it can switch to hybrid or electric to meet rough terrain or indoor slab environments. This type of versatility ultimately leads to higher utilisation for rental companies.”
