Configured with shorter 45 metre jibs, the 10 tonne capacity cranes can lift up to 3.5 tonne at the jib tip. All 10 of the cranes have been mounted on 400 metre long rails to ensure the complete coverage of the 160,000 square metre site. Once the concrete fabrication yard is complete the cranes will be used for moving pre-cast concrete elements and preparing new moulds on a daily basis. They will also lift a variety of materials and components manufactured at the facility including rebar and steel structures.
Kosol Wattayu, engineering manager at Hicrete, said: “Our new cranes are working hard to meet our demanding build schedules and are helping our business grow. They feature the latest technology from Europe and I am sure they will give us many years of exceptional service.”
Hicrete’s new fabrication yard - divided into four factories producing different products - will be fully operational later this year and will have capacity to produce up to 500 cubic metres of pre-cast concrete a day.
