Raimondi establishes brazillian operation
Saudi Arabian based KBW group, owner of Raimondi tower crane, has confirmed a $40 million investment to build a new crane plant in Ceará, Brazil.
The first production units are due off-line in the next few months. The project company also opened holding company KBW Brazil last week, with headquarters in Santa Catarina. The company is led by chief executive José Roberto Barbosa da Silva, who has experience in logistics and distribution, mining, quality control, planning and public safety sectors.
The company said that the investment in the Brazilian unit is part of its $100 million investment plan for global expansion of Raimondi Cranes which includes the construction of new production facilities in both Saudi Arabia and India, as well as expansion of existing facilities in Italy and the development of new products - see:
Raimondi announces expansion. The changes are all due to the switch of ownership that is likely to see Raimondi expand substantially, particularly in developing markets.
