Snorkel appoints new dealer in Spain

Snorkel has appointed Icaro Global Systems (IGS) as its new distributor for Spain.

IGS was founded in 2009 to sell and support lifting equipment in Spain and Portugal, it signed an agreement with UK based parts specialist IPS in 2010, although that partnership has since been wound up by IPS. It also sells forktrucks, Jekko mini cranes, small generators and pallet trucks along with used equipment.

It is based in Madrid with a 7,000 square metre facility near Barajas Airport, the company has already taken a number of Snorkel A46JRT articulated boom lifts into stock.

IGS marketing director Virginie Da Silva said: "We are very pleased to be appointed Snorkel distributor for Spain, and see a strong future for the sales of Snorkel equipment into predominantly industrial applications."

Enrique Garcia Delgado, Snorkel’s regional sales manager Europe added: "IGS has a robust business model, as well as great expertise and solid customer relationships in this sector. The company has already fully committed to its Snorkel distributorship through a significant initial investment in stock machines and replacement parts."
