New generation reachstackers for Sweden

Swedish container terminal Stockholms Hamnar, part of Hutchison Port Holdings, has ordered four of Kalmar’s latest generation reachstackers.

The DRG420-450 Gloria reachstackers provide a lift capacity of 4.2 to 4.5 tonnes and offer a stacking height of up to six containers. Features include a new EGO cabin, a newly developed electrical control monitoring system as well as the company’s latest SmartPort Automation solutions. The reachstackers are also available with 3A, 3B or stage 4/Tier 4 engines depending on national markets and requirements.

Torbjörn Persson, chief operating officer at Ports of Stockholm's container terminal at Stockholms Hamn, said: "The new Kalmar Gloria reachstacker is a remarkable machine and we saw the benefits of improved productivity, linked to significant cost savings and operational efficiencies over the lifetime of the machine. Allied to that, operator comfort and safety is of paramount importance and in this respect Gloria delivers the best possible driver experience."

Stockholms Hamnar has ordered four of the latest generation Kalmar reachstackers

Scheduled for delivery in April, the order also includes a Kalmar TR618i terminal tractor.
