Bespoke handlers for AGA
South African gold mining company AGA (AngloGold Ashanti ) has taken delivery of seven bespoke/custom built six tonne Manitou MHT-X 860L Rough Terrain telehandlers for its mine in Obuasi, Ghana.
In order to comply with stringent Australian and Ghanaian safety regulations the MHT-X 860s required 72 engineered modifications, including specially designed platform attachments. The seven units will be used to perform maintenance services in the underground drives, galleries and workshop areas, working at depths of up to a kilometre- the mines current working level.
