Ladder and the column
Spotted at the Las-Brisas hotel in Acapulco, Mexico, a man using a ladder to reach the top of a column.

The ladder goes into position
While it is not the worst we have seen by any stretch, using a ladder against a circular column is never a good idea. At least in this case the ladder looks decent and one of the men is acting as a counterweight. However as he works on the top of the column he risks the ladder sliding around the column.

And then down with the item from the top
Thankfully nothing goes wrong and our man lives to do it all again. In spite of this we are still adding it to our Death Wish series.

Much like an arborist could secure a ladder to a tree trunk, they could have hooked a long web strap from one side rail, fed it around the column and hooked it to the opposite side rail creating a solid triangle of the column, ladder and earth. The man on the bottom was a wise choice to steady the ladder feet.
