Record year for Ruthmann

German truck mounted lift manufacturer Ruthmann has reported sales of €104 million for 2013, an increase of 9.4 percent on 2012. It is also the first time the company has achieved sales of more than €100 million.

The company said: “Many orders came from our core German market, but exports of Ruthmann Steiger lifts were also very strong, with sales in France particularly successful. In 2013, we also managed to tap into completely new markets and the first work platforms in the height performance range were successfully delivered to Australia. For 2014 our sights are also set on the North American market and since September 2013 our work platforms have been marketed in North America by Time.”

Ruthmann also said that the launch of its TBR 220 3.5 tonne truck mounted lift last October made a substantial contribution to its 2013 revenues, with over 100 orders for the model booked in just five months.

The TBR220 offers a working height of 22 metres and an outreach of 16.4 metres

Available on a range of 3.5 tonne chassis, the 22 metre TBR 220 features a four section boom and 2.2 metre articulating jib offering an outreach of up to 16.4 metres. With a maximum platform capacity of 230kg, its interchangeable basket system allows operators to switch quickly and easily between an aluminium or a double-insulated 1000v composite platform.
