New CEO for Hirepool

New Zealand based rental company Hirepool has appointed Brian Stephen as chief executive, replacing Mike Foureur.

Stephen was previously chief operating officer, a role he has held since May 2013. Prior to that he was chief executive of Hirequip, which was acquired by Hirepool in May last year. Colin Sinton, who previously worked for Hirepool as well as the Australian rental company, Onsite Rental takes over as chief operating officer.

Foureur joined Hirepool in 2013 to lead the integration with Hirequip, and will remain on the board as a non-executive director. Ian Lewington retains his position as chief financial office.

Hirepool is owned by Next Capital which has indicated that it is interested in floating the rental company through a public offering, something that has been rumoured for almost two years now.
A statement said: “Brian Stephen has been appointed to head Hirepool through its next stage of growth".
