Another acquisition for Cramo

Finnish international rental company Cramo has acquired C/S RaumCenter, a German accommodation container rental company based in Frankfurt. It is its second acquisition this month - see:Cramo acquires compact excavator business.

Last year C/S RaumCenter had revenues in the region of €4 million from a fleet of 900 container units. The company employs 21, all of whom are staying on board. Owner and managing director Klaus Schmidt, will also remain with the business until he retires at the end of the year.

The company will continue to trade under its current name until further notice. Cramo says that the acquisition provides an opportunity to introduce its Nordic modular space applications and concepts into the German market.

A C/S container delivery


C/S RaumCenter was founded in 1980 and has a strong position in the Rhein-Main region, offering high-quality modular space solutions and accommodation containers for private and public customers.

Cramo’s senior vice president of Modular Space Petri Moksén said: ”C/S RaumCenter is a highly respected player within modular space, especially in the Frankfurt market area. The company has plenty of competence and knowledge of different types of modular space solutions, which further strengthens Cramo’s solution offering. In the future, our target is to grow the modular space business to cover all of Germany.”

Schmidt, added: "Based on my discussions, I have developed a strong opinion that Cramo is a player who has excellent transferable skills both to continue as well as improve profitable business in this area in Germany. I await with anticipation the start of our co-operation after the acquisition. I strongly believe that this transaction will be for the benefit of our customers and employees.”

"This acquisition complements and follows the plan that Cramo and Theisen have in Germany to expand its offering according to the Cramo Concept," said Dirk Schlitzkus, executive vice president, Cramo central Europe.
