Onwards and upwards

UK based rental company Upward Powered Access is about to open its second depot to the West of London.

Managing director Paul Johnson said plans are well developed to open the second depot in the Slough area to cope with increased demand in this part of greater London.

The depot’s first vehicle, a new 18 tonne DAF delivery truck with Shawtrack body has already arrived and a good number of Niftylift Booms and Skyjack Scissors are on order for the base fleet, with the first units beginning to arrive.

The name of the new manager has not yet been disclosed, however we are told that the individual has many years in the access industry and is very familiar with the general rental market, and has been looking for a new challenge.

“After starting this business some six years ago it has been a hard struggle but very satisfying. As anyone knows it’s impossible not to take opportunities when they come your way, so when I found a perfect location and someone of the very best calibre, it became inevitable I would have a new outlet”, said Johnson.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at Niftylift and Skyjack for all their support over the years. Without their understanding, help and sound advice none of this would be possible. I am looking forward to many more years working with these two fine companies.”
