The order placed with CPL – placed at last week’s Vertikal Days – was agreed between 2Rents Jim Warburton and CPL managing director Paul Murphy.

Jim Warburton (L) of 2Rent places the order for six Isuzu-based Socage A314 platforms with CPL managing director Paul Murphy
The Isuzu-based platform was launched a few weeks ago and according to CPL has already attracted a lot of interest. The unit was designed and constructed in a joint venture between CPL and Isuzu with full vehicle type approval currently underway.
The unit has a working height of 13.2 metres, an outreach of 6.5 metres, 360 degree slew and unrestricted platform capacity of 225kg. It also has a five degree off-road levelling and 400kg spare payload.
“This order from 2Rent continues the success of the platform launched at the CV Show,” said Murphy. “CPL is the only UK manufacturer authorised by Isuzu to mount an access platform on the D Max chassis, which means the conversion will not affect the vehicle warranty in any way.”
