Ramirent buys scaffold/cover business
Finnish international rental group Ramirent has acquired the DCC Dry weather over and scaffold division off NSS Group.
The DCC division (Dry Construction Concept) is a leading provider of temporary roofing and specialist scaffolding in Sweden, Finland and Denmark. Revenues are in the region of $16 million and it has a team of 120 dedicated employees.

DCC provides temporary covers for construction work
The customer based includes large and mid-sized construction companies and industrial builders, including JM, Fortum, Skanska and Vattenfall. NSS offers a full range or shelters, ranging from the supply of tarpaulins to semi- permanent halls. No transaction details have been released.
Chief executive Magnus Rosén said: "This transaction fortifies Ramirent’s position as a solution provider in all Nordic countries and differentiates us also as a one-stop-shop also in weather shelter solutions. There are many operational synergies between the two companies and together we can take increased responsibility for coordination of scaffolding, access platforms, hoists and other services on site and provide customers with safe products and solutions within weather shelters.”

This looks like a good move for Ramirent, taking a service it already offers to a market leadership position. A nice bolt-on acquisition.
