New tree trimmers from Terex

Terex Utilities has introduced an all new XT Pro Series of bucket truck platforms for tree trimming, with heights of up to 23 metres.

The XT Pro Series tree trimmers features, a longitudinal hydraulic lift providing 250 and 125 degrees of lower boom articulation, to further extend the aerial devices’ capacities and capabilities.

End users were widely consulted for input during the development of these new models, so they feature details such as round pedestals for easier access to bearing bolts, a platform capacity of up to 181kg - one person plus tools - an elbow cylinder that is fully retracted when stowed, protecting the rod from the elements and a 3.5 cubic metre chip box.

The XT Pro tree trimmer also includes a control system that senses what hydraulic flow is needed to move the boom to a new position without having to disengage the tool circuit. This feature allows the operator to concentrate on the task at hand without having to manually manage hydraulic flow between the controls and tools, saving time and effort throughout the working day.
