40 Skyjack SJ12/16s for Force
Australian access rental company Force has purchased 40 Skyjack SJ12 and SJ16 self-propelled vertical mast lifts for a large project.
Most of the new units are being delivered to Adelaide to work on the construction of the new Royal Adelaide Hospital, the single largest infrastructure project undertaken in South Australia. Deliveries are due to be completed this week. The new order follows a delivery earlier this year of Skyjack SJIII 3236 scissor lifts.

The 12ft SJ12 has a working height of 5.6 metres, while the 16ft SJ16 offers up to 6.8 metre, both are equipped with a 410mm traversing platform allowing some reach over obstacles. The two machines are noted for their low overall weight, being 782kg and 966kg respectively.
John Glover, national service manager at Force Access, said:“The equipment is reliable, easy to use and has great customer acceptance. Our customers look to us to provide them with equipment as and when they need it, and more than that they want solid, proven machines that deliver consistently, so we’re continuing to grow our fleet with exactly that kind of equipment.”
“With their compact footprint and excellent maneuverability, the machines will be well-suited to the busy Adelaide Hospital project for reaching difficult to reach workspaces”.
