Big Effer for Collett
UK based Collett Transport has taken delivery of a 205 Tonne/Metre Effer 2055 articulated crane mounted on an 8x4 Mercedes 4155 tractor unit.
The new crane features a seven section boom – base plus six extensions – and can lift 30 tonnes at 4.5 metres and handle 8,550kg at 15.25 metres radius.. The four axle tractor unit can handle maxium axle loads of up to 16.5 tonnes with a Gross Vehicle Weight of up to 150 tonnes.
Halifax based Collett purchased crane through Effer’s partner in the UK Atlas Cranes and then collected it from Effer’s production factory in Bologna, Italy. The machines tops out an extensive fleet of loader and articulated cranes, used in the company’s transport and heavy moving business.
